Mayans and Aztecs
The Mayans Most popular artifact made by them would be their feather works! It has so much culture and shows how they dress and what they hunt.
Yes, like every other ancient culture, the Mayans were very warlike. They raided their neighbors for land, citizens, and captives.
The Mayan culture was very religious and towns were over populated. The mayan culure develped around 200 and 300 bc
The Aztecs, Mayans, Teotihuacans, Olmecs, Toltecs and Cholultecs are some examples of such cultures.
No the Mayans are not all dead. I know this because one of my advisors for my thesis is of Mayan descent. There are tons of people like him in Mexico. Look in the Mexican state of Chiapas. Or see the Movie Apocalypto which had some Mayan descendants in it. Culturally they have absorbed some of Mexico's broader Aztec influenced Mestiso culture, but they also practice much of their old culture on a smaller scale. In no sense of the word are the Mayans dead.
