You can most likely purchase atf z-1 from any auto parts store such as Advance Auto Parts. If the brand is not stock, they can help find a similar Transmission Fluid.

There is only one type, ATF fluid. It's a universal fluid... You can buy Toyota ATF fluid from any auto online store (like www.toyotapartstore.com) or just buy Supertech ATF, Prestone ATF, they all do the same job. There are several grades but generally one superceeds another so you can't go far wrong. I've used both Toyota ATF and SuperTech ATF. This time, it's the Prestone ATF.
just go buy tranny fluid
Automatic Transmission Fluid I have a Mazda Protege 5, 2003- with 32k miles. Mazda hand book telling me to use ATF-MV. The dealer ship is selling this for $ 8.00 a qut. can you recomend a general ATF brand that I could buy at at a local parts store for less $. Also do I have to do a transmission flush or can I just drain and remove the pan and change the filter? Thank you. Jerome

just use automatic trans fluid. I think its dextron III. It's the same trans fluid that you'd put in a 04 Xterra trans. --dealership technician
Diamond ATF SP III this you can buy only in the dealership Nippon oil says ENEOS ATF Type SP is an alternative
take it to the dealership, a nissan sentra takes atf fluid you can only buy at the dealership. For how much the fluid and tools for it cost it will be about the same price for them to do it
I ASSUME YOU MEAN AUTOMATIC TRANS. IF IT IS NOT LEAKING THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON TO CHECK IT IF IT IS OR REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE, A DEALER IS YOUR BEST BET, THE FLUID HAS TO BE A SPEC TEMP AND VEHICLE UP ON A LIFT TO ACCESS PLUG ON BOTTOM OF PAN, IT CANNOT BE ON A JACK TILTING BACKWARDS Also be sure that you do not add the wrong kind of fluid. Many people make this mistake, and add hydrolic trans fluid that you would buy of the shelf. My 1997 jetta auto trans used vw specific trans fluid the was mineral spirits. You could damage a maintence free trans with the wrong fluids.
Depends if you have automatic or manual transmission. Automatic trans fluid is type T-IV, which is a special type made by Toyota, I think I heard somewhere that a 3rd party was selling this type but I haven't seen it personally. You can buy T-IV ATF from the dealership or some online places including eBay at a slight discount.
== == Car engine fluids are all different colors, for a REASON, so you can identify them. Red is Automatic transmission fluid(ATF). Check the fluid according to the car makers directions. You can find this in the maker's manual that comes with the car, or buy one from the local auto dealer that sells your kind of car. Could also be power steering fluid. Power steering sometimes uses ATF. ---- Certain types of radiator coolant are also red.
