he died from what his scholars truly bielieved was an immortality "potion" and as a result it had too much Mercury qin did die of his so called immortality potion but the drinks had arsenic, lead, and mercury in the tonic. It is also said that he died searching for the potion in Japan and simple died from old age and insanity.

He ate pills by the royal alchemists that contained a high amount of mercury that was thought to make him live forever. Ironically it killed him.

He also thought that eating lead would help him live longer, but it actually was slowly killing him..

She was killed with her husband Guo Jing and her daughter and son when the Mongolians invaded Xiangyan. You can watch this in "the heavenly sword and the dragon's saber" from the wuxia series. The only one from her family that survived was her youngest daughter Guo Xiang. -- a wuxia fan

Shi Huang was the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty in China. He reigned from 247-220 BC, and died because he ate Mercury pill which were intended to make him immortal.

We think he may have died from mercury poisoning because he had the idea that if he drank mercury it would make him live longer. Shi Huang Di, as emperor wanted to avoid death.
