Green Iguana are naturally from South America; South Brazil , Paraguay, Mexico , and the Caribbean Island specially in Puerto Rico and they are very common throughout the island where is seen as an intruder animal from South America; and in the United States as feral populations inSouth Florida (including The Florida Keys), Hawaii, and the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Although there not green, Red Iguanas are a locality Green Iguanas from western regions of Costa Rica Tend to be Red in colour and those up to northern rangers like Mexico tend to be orange! Green iguanas have many localities depending on the region its found in! e.g Green Iguanas on St.Thomas Island Tend to be Darkish in colour ranging from Grayish to blackish! but can express colouration of on the skin of purples, Oranges and blues in breeding season.
