On the Norwood B. Gove website "littlegreenchildstories," there is a poem entitled "E WIGGLE," part of which states:

“Our class has a new child called E Wiggle!”

“So what?”

“Sew buttons on your ice cream.”

I see no indication of WHEN the poem was written, but the website is copyrighted in the year 2013.

This phrase has been in use long before the 1980s when I met my husband's family. It was a staple response for a better use of time.
