The Sun was made 4.5 billion years ago when a nebula's own gas's gravity started to clump together and start getting hot. The clump then started to get more as and gravity which made it hotter. When there was enough gravity and heat nuclear fusion began fusing hydrogen molecules into helium molecules and in another 3-4 billion years the sun will have used up all of its helium it will lose its ability to fight gravity. When the molecules will be getting more compressed

it will fuse helium into carbon There is more energy released with carbon

the gravity of the sun won't be able to keep the sun in the sun will expand into

a red giant and envelope the inner planets until Mars Even if we live that long

The Sun doesn't "occur" - like all other things, it exists.

The Sun, and all stars, are condensed from intergalactic matter.

Ours is believed to have been formed by the rapid collapse of a molecular hydrogen cloud (the collapse being caused by gravity).

When it continued to collapse the pressure caused nuclear reactions to occur, which countered the collapse, and led to the creation of other atoms among the hydrogen.

If you stand on one point on the surface of the Earth, the Sun appears to rise, cross the sky and disappear again. This is followed by darkness until the cycle repeats itself, again and again. This process is caused by the fact that the Earth is rotating.

In order for a molecular cloud to undergo gravitational collapse its hydrostatic equilibrium must be disturbed. The formation of the Sun was probably triggered by the shockwave from a nearby supernova, sending charged matter into the cloud and causing the gases to compress. Most of the gas collected together to form a gaseous sphere called a protostar, which would eventually become the Sun.

As gases fall together, they compress and heat up. Most of the mass fell to the center of the spiral, and at some point around 4.6 billion years ago the heat and pressure of the hydrogen suddenly caused the hydrogen atoms to fuse into helium. At that point the Sun became a main sequence star. The leftover disk of gas and dust became the planets and everything else.

We believe that the sun formed from a big cloud of gas and dust. The cloud was dark and cold, and its gravity caused it to fall together. The gas that collected at the center got hot from all the other gas falling on it. When nearly all the gas and dust had fallen together, the center became very hot and very dense.

It's always been a matter of opinion, suggested and discussed as a possibility for hundreds of years. For a long time it was an illegal idea, dangerous to discuss. Eventually, it was accepted by most people as probably being true; maybe, say, by around 1650 or so. It's important to understand that everybody who has ever thought about the question has been stuck on the earth, and from this position, it's impossible to prove that the earth orbits the sun. Even though it would explain just about everything we can see in the sky, you can never absolutely prove it, so it's "just a theory". Like evolution. Even today, the idea isn't accepted by everybody yet. There are still people who believe the earth is flat and the sun and everything else revolve around the earth. So you can't actually say it was 'discovered'.

The Sun is a mixture of gases - approximately 75% hydrogen and 25% helium. These proportions are changing over time as reactions in the Sun's core convert hydrogen into helium. It's the energy released by these reactions which produces the Sun's heat. At the Sun's core, where the temperature is 15 million kelvin, the gases are compressed by gravity to a density many times that of lead. While this gravity tries to shrink the core, the Sun is kept in equilibrium by the counterbalancing force of the energy released as the hydrogen burns.
