might come from a pound, picked up as a stray, or stolen- sad to say
This is not really very true. The majority of animals are purpose-bred by laboraties for use in animal testing, or by specialist breeders. Some animals are still taken from the wild, although it is illegal to use wild-caught primates in Europe for animal testing.
Sometimes they just get strays on the road. They can also be poached or picked up a a pound where they don't do background checks on the people adopting
Wrong, test animals are bred and grown in strict environments to assure results are accurate.
Most animal testing is performed on mice and rats, which are specifically bred for the experiment. Large animals such as dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep and pigs may either be specifically bred for the experiment or sourced from animal shelters or other places where the animal has no owner and would otherwise be euthanized.
Well it depends what but lots of animals are tested on, like rabbits, monkeys and other mammals. Although it's mostly rats and mice, which are not on animal welfare protection. You can see some horrifying videos on YouTube.
there are lots of animals that get tested on
the most common is mice
they test cosmtics and cleaning liquids on them
From animals shelters where the population of animals is too high, off the streets or from owners who don't want them any more.
Some animals are used from animal shelters others are from in vitro process.
Zoo's, Aquarium, Labs, animal testing, animal shelters....
If animal testing continues the death of the these animals could follow. The death of these animals could lead to the imbalance of our environment.
One way is in the use of the animals as test subjects in labs/
One way is in the use of the animals as test subjects in labs/
About 22 animals die every second in testing labs around the world each second. So 22 x 32,536,000(seconds in a calendar year) = 693,792,000 animals die every year.
does animal testing mutate the animalsyes, it mutates the animals genes
All of the animals that die in labs die for a good, life-saving cause. No one knows how many die because of the secracy that has to surround them for the safety of the workers there. However the number is just over half of what it was in the 1970's due to new computer technology.I say not because it makes the animals population drop!!that's not a good thing!!STOP ANIMAL TESTING FOR THE SAKE OF ANIMALS!!
well if the testing is from animal haters the animal will die but if they are good it will live......
Many labs partake in animal testing, however because of controversy, it might not be difficult to find out which do. A good place to find information would be through animal activist organizations.
Yes because lots of animals die from animal testing witch lowers that animals species
I think none! Testing products on animals is animal testing which I strongly disagree with! Animal testing, if it goes wrong its the animal that suffers. Animal testing can put a lot of stress and pain on animals. I think that animals deserve rights to be free of being tested with things that cause them pain and even kill them.
None
