There are several things that can cause your Ford Fiesta 1.4 liter engine to lose coolant. The most common cause is a defective water hose.
I just looked in the manual for my 1999 1.25 zetec Fiesta and it says the capacity is 6 litres
By putting a funnel into the dipstick tube.
Coolant temperature sensor is located on the front of the engine. The coolant temperature sensor is a few inches above the thermostat housing.
Looking into the engine, on the far right there is a visible coolant reservoir near the hinge of the hood. On the side of the reservoir closest to the center of the engine, there should be large markings for minimum and maximum fill. Given the bright orange color of the recommended coolant, it should be easy to see the level.
You would remove the tank and pour it out of the fill hose.
