The state takes them and tries to put them in a good home
They go to relatives or an orphanage .

If your parents have taken it away it was probably because you have been disobedient and had rude behavior. Say sorry to your parents then a few days later ask for your iPod back. If they say no it could have been for the best. They will eventually give back your iPod within a week or so and in the meantime you could read a book, draw, do homework, play a game, use the computer, or go outside. To avoid getting your iPod taken away always say sorry after doing something rude to your parents.
Kids can normally "go with" the parents to take the class (in states where classes are required) and kids can go with the parents when they apply for the permit, but kids cannot get a gun permit. As far as the class goes, most ranges have age restrictions, so if the kid is under a certain age, they cannot shoot while they are there.
You can be taken to school in a school bus, by your parents, by your friends or your friends' parents if you want to carpool, or you could take yourself to school.

That would really depend on why it was taken away. If you know why, you know what you need to fix. Do what your parent asked you to do. When they see you are catching on, they will probably give it back. If you aren't really sure why it was taken away, the mature thing to do would be to go talk to your parents and ask them what their expectations are. If you do, be careful to listen and not throw in a lot of "But I..." type remarks. That will only annoy them more.
