Greenhouse gases are caused by pollution such as car fumes, power plants and even animals. the worst greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide or CO2 which lasts for about 100 years in the atmosphere. Also there is methane. Methane is more powerful than CO2 but lasts only for 10 to 15 years.
They are harmful to the environment as they heat up our planet. They stop the suns rays getting back into space once they bounce back from the earth.
From highest to lowest mass of carbon dioxide emitted:
# The Oceans
# Insects
# Humans
Water vapor comes from space, the ocean / lakes / rivers, and from respiration / combustion of fuels with hydrogen in them. In no particular order. Carbon dioxide comes from space, from / to the ocean, and from respiration / combustion of fuels with carbon in them. In no particular order. Methane comes primarily from biological decomposition of organic materials. Ozone is produced by oxygen broken apart either by electrical discharge, UV-C from the Sun, or by photoproduction involving NOx and unburned fuel.
Methane is almost the same as natural gas, a fossil fuel which is drilled for under the ground. Methane is also produced by anaerobic degradation of animal wastes, and, in fact, any organic matter, as well as from the belching of ruminant animals, like cattle. Methane is also released from melting tundra and frozen lakes.
Methane is a naturally occurring gas and emitted by sources like wetlands. Livestock produce methane as do natural gas systems.
Methane usually comes from human activities such as factories.
Water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone and nitrous oxide. They are known as 'greenhouse gases'.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane gas (CH4).Carbon Dioxide and Methane :)
Rotting trees and vegetation emit carbon dioxide and methane, both greenhouse gases.

two greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide and methane

greenhouse gasesThe main greenhouse gases are water vapor, carbon dioxide, and methane.
Carbon Dioxide.
carbon dioxide (CO2) and Methane (CH4).
Carbon dioxide is emitted by burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas).Methane is emitted by bad farming practices in cattle and rice farming.
