Where do the socs and greasers hang out in the outsiders and what do they do for fun?
socs like to jump greasers like Ponyboy and get drunk
The Socs throw beer blasts for kids and beat up Greasers for fun.
Socs literally try to pick a fight and jump greasers for fun.
the socs beat up the greasers for fun
The Greasers are poor and have little or no respect for the authority. They are also more emotional than the Socs and get into rumbles just for fun. The Socs are the Social Elites. They are cool to the point of not feeling anything at all. The Socs are snotty rich kids who throw beer blasts and mug people just for fun.
Us greasers usually go to the drive-ins or beat up Socs. The Socs throw parties all the time just cause they can. They have beer blasts and they beat up us greasers.
The socs, esteemed by their superiority and richness in class, beat up the Greasers for their own sake~just for the fun of it.
Its like common gang wars. They are almost completely different. The socs are somewhat rich and the greasers are poor, trying to get by. The socs just jump or attack the greasers for fun or go drink because they have nothing else to do.
The Socs are the westside rich kids from The Outsiders book by S.E. Hinton. The Socs had beer blasts and jumped their rival gang, the Greasers for fun. They were also stuck up and some were very spoiled. The Socs have all the breaks and get a lot of respect too. blahh blahh blahh blahh i hated this book and i will never read it again i had to read it for a book report… Read More
They were drunk and looking for some fun and their idea of fun was to beat up greasers such as Ponyboy and Johnny
Compare and contrastthe Socs and greasers which gang do you think was potrayed as the better group interms of being good people in the book?
Neither was good, either way they both did bad. Either the socs were beating up greasers, getting drunk,or making fun of the greasers. Or the Greasers were Getting drunk, stealing, fighting, etc. ,, they both did wrong in the long run.
The Socs (social climbers, socialites) are the west side rich kids. For fun they like to jump Greasers and throw beer blasts. They are rich and stuck up. The Greasers are the east side, middle- and lower-class poor kids. They wore leather jackets and jeans. They slicked their hair back to make it greasy and darker. They smoked Kools and usually tried to stay out of fights.
The Greasers often like to hang out at the Dingo and Jay's, both Greaser hang-outs. They also like to go to the drive-in, and listen to Elvis Presley's music. They wear tight-fitting t-shirts and jeans, and leather jackets. They like fights.
1) they are wealthy 2) they only steal and make bad choices for fun 3) they like fights ( stubborn)
Ponyboy's opinion changes about the Socs throughout the story. It starts out with him thinking in the beginning that all Socs were cruel rich kids who liked to pick on greasers for the fun of it, partly from experience, partly because that was what was expected of him. After the fire and the rescue, Ponyboy's talk with Randy really opened up what Socs were truly like. Through talking with Randy, Ponyboy discovered that the Socs… Read More

Well technically, there are 2 gangs total that are mentioned in the book: The greasers and the Socs. (It mentions some other named gangs, but never describes them) The greasers are ALL of the people on the East side. (Tim Shepard's gang, The brumbly boys, and Ponyboy's outfit are all greasers) They are very poor and wear leather jackets, jeans, boots or tennis shoes, and their hair long and greased back. They are sorta like… Read More
When Cherry says that things are rough all over, she means that even though the Socs are supposed to have a 'perfect' life, they don't. She says that they (the Socs) have worries that Greasers haven't heard of, like getting made fun of if they don't fight. She is letting Ponyboy know that nobody's life is perfect, and that everybody had difficulties and hardships.

Hang gliding can make you fly in the air and hang gliding look's fun.
Gresers in general fight for different reasons. Soda fights for fun, Steve for hatred, Darry for pride, Two-Bit for conformity, and Ponyboy for self-defense. Johnny's reason was never specified in the book but I'm sure it's something like Pony's.
The rumble means a chance for them to show the Socs that they are better than them. Also each greaser who is fighting in the rumble has a reason for fighting (except Pony who is unsure why he fights.) Darry fights because he is proud of how strong he is. Steve fights because of hatred. Soda fights for fun. Two-Bit fights because everyone elese does.
Sodapop fights for fun.

Relax and enjoy it. It might hurt at first, but once you get the hang of it, it will be fun.
The socs are a bunch of rich kids who wear madras and have mustangs. They throw party's and hurt greasers for fun. Greasers have the rough side of it all. Johnny Cade for instance is beaten by his alcoholic and abusive parents. He was also jumped by the socs. Ponyboy Curtis, the youngest of the Curtis brothers, wants more in life. His older brother, Sodapop wants to marry Sandy and have his horse named Mickey… Read More
