the master cylinder is on top of the clutch pedal, you will need to remove cover above pedals, and you will see the reservoir cap, its not easy to get to or to take off.

where do you add clutch fluid to 1999 nissan maxima

you dont add clutch fluid. If the clutch is slipping that means that you need to buy a new clutch

It uses brake fluid in the brake fluid reservoir. The clutch fluid (brake fluid) is fed by the brake fluid reservoir. The clutch fluid reservoir is just beneath the brake fluid reservoir. So, add fluid to the brake fluid reservoir to fill the clutch fluid, also.

You add fluid to the clutch reservoir. If it is empty, you have a leak and probably got air into the system. Proper repairs should be done to correct the problem.

The fluid for the clutch comes from the brake fluid. After the brake master cylinder, there is a clutch master cylinder which takes fluid from the brakes. Fill up the Brake master cylinder.

clutch master cylinder right next to brake fluid, the smaller one

well you have to put the clutch fluid down the tube that leads to the water tank! however dont add to much!!!my dad's a mechanic!

Right at the clutch master cylinder reservoir under the hood.

Suck the clutch fluid out of the resovoir with a machine or vacula system. Then add new clutch fluid (which is primarily DOT3 brake fluid in most apps). For proper sequence repeat the process and bleed the clutch system ( depending on make/model).

Look near the brake master cylinder for a reservoir or your brake fluid and clutch fluid might share the same reservoir

The clutch operates off the brake fluid reservoir...Fill the brake fluid

how do you add transmission fluid to a 1996 vw jetta?

The level of the fluid is critical. get it done by somebody who is familiar with automatics.

The clutch master cylinder gets it's fluid from the master brake cylinder reservoir. The clutch is below the brake and gets it's fluid by gravity. If you need fluid just add to the brake reservoir.

The clutch does not use oil, it uses DOT3 brake fluid. The clutch cylinder gets its brake fluid from the brake cylinder and is directly below it. Add fluid to the master brake cyliinder reservoir.

Dot 3 Brake fluid for Clutch master cylinder.ANSWERTurn the engine off before opening the hood.Find the clutch fluid reservoir. It's usually close to the back of the engine, near the brake fluid reservoir.Take off the cap.Check the fluid level. If it is not filled to the top, you will need to add brake fluid. (See "How to Add Brake Fluid to the Clutch Master Cylinder" under Related eHows.)Replace the cap tightly.
