your best bet is to take it to a radiator shop who recharges a/c and they will remove all the gas and then check for leaks and then refill . the cost in Canada is around $80.00.I have had mine done twice as some of the gas leaks through the hoses by osmosis which is quite normal
add r134a to the service port
you dont just let it blow up
R12-if it has ac of course.
The low side port, which is the smaller one.
You can add Freon to your 2001 Buick Century air conditioning system through the low pressure port. The low pressure port can be found on the top of the air conditioner compressor.
In the low side ac service port.
freon usually goes on your condinser there should be a place to add collant on your condinser which is a silver cylinder
where is the port to add freon in a 1997 mitsubishi montero sport
You do not want it to run on low freon as it will burn itself up. There is a low pressue switch that tells it not to run if the freon pressure is below a certain point. To make it run; add freon.
The easiest way is to add freon and an oil with a dye additive and use a florescent light and yellow goggles to pinpoint the leak/leaks........
Go to your local auto parts store. They will have kits with directions for you to do the job at home.
You don't add Freon as it has R134a not Freon. You add it to the low pressure side which is the larger hose.
