You don't. There is no dipstick or filler pipe. It has a drain plug, but to fill it I use a long vinyl hose attached to a funnel. The pan holds about a gallon of fluid. Make sure you use the right fluid. My 02 used mercon 5. Use only Motorcraft Mercon 5 or a synthetic (Mobil 1, Havoline Max Life) that meets Mercon 5 specs. Do not use any generic fluid that requires an additive to supposedly bring it up to Mercon 5 specs. Mercon 5 five is semi-synthetic and a few ounces of mystery additive isn't going to make generic mineral oil-based ATF into a synthetic. The correct way to measure or adjust the fluid level is: 1. Remove the plug at the bottom of the pan. A small amount of fluid may run out. 2. Remove the small plug on the upper rear of the pan. Add fluid until it starts to run out the bottom. The level is now correct. Should you have any questions about your LS, I suggest joining the Lincoln LS Owners Club (LLSOC).
You can add transmission fluid to your 2003 Chrysler through the transmission fluid dipstick holder. It is best to use a funnel to prevent spilling the transmission fluid.
how do you check transmission fluid in 2003 yukon denali
the engine oil and trans oil is all in one!
You can check the transmission fluid, there is a little window on the side of the transmission on the drivers side that shows the fluid level and you can also add transmission fluid on that same side. There is no dipstick to check the level.
You add fluid at the same place you check the fluid level. You need a special transmission funnel to do this. Be sure you use the correct fluid that Infinity recommends.
Use a funnel and on the passenger side in the back of the engine is a yellow dipstick that you will have to pull out and add transmission fluid through where you pulled the dipstick out.
5 speed or auto?
You can add transmission fluid, by using a funnel. Place the funnel in the same to of which you check the transmission fluid. Do not over fill the transmission.
On a 2000 Lincoln Town Car : Using a funnel you add automatic transmission fluid through the dipstick tube The tube is located near the firewall , at the rear of the engine ( front of transmission ) on the passenger side of the engine in the engine compartment
Usually through the dipstick tube - Do Not Overfill
You pour it down the dipstick tube.
Transmission fluid is added to most vehicles in the same place that you check the fluid level. Pull the transmission fluid dipstick, insert a long funnel in the tube and add fluid there. Remember transmission fluid is added by the pint not quarts.
