You will have to go underneath your car to fill it up. Look for the transmission. On it there will be to large plugs. One is the drain plug, and the other is the check plug. The one that is lower to the ground is the drain plug, and the other is the check plug (which should be located on the forward side of the transmission). Take off this plug and then you can proceed to fill the transmission. It is full when the fluid is level with the check plug.
if it is a 5speed it does not take trannsimission fluid it take cluth fluid
You add fluid the same place you check the fluid level.
I assume it is a stick-shift? The transmission will have a plug located on the side, where you can add fluid, if needed.
To add transmission fluid to a 1998 Mazda Protege, locate the transmission reservoir. It is typically located on the left hand side towards the back of the car under the hood.
There is usually no transmission cap. The tube that the tranny dip stick is in is where you add fluid if it is an automatic. You usually need a funnel that has a longer neck on it. If it isa standard then there is a check bolt that you remove and add fluid that way. Good luck.
Fill the transmission filter with transmission fluid before you put the new transmission filter on. You probably will not need to add any transmission fluid.
Via the drip stick tube
good answer if its an auto, the fill plug is located on the tranny, there are 2 plugs, one on bottom, and one in the middle/top area. Use a funnel, and place it in the dipstick. Add the tranny fluid there. Where the dipstick is.
Same place you check it.
Same place you check it.
Behind the engine is a dipstick labeled transmission fluid. Pull the stick out and pour in the tranny fluid with a funnel
You check it and add fluid at the same place. Look on the transmission for a dipstick.
