Reservoir is on the right (facing car), close to the firewall. If you have done a flush and fill, make sure there are no air pockets. Also, make sure it is G12 (red).
It is not suggested to put water in a Toyota Rav 4. The engine cooling system can get too hot and coolant is preferred. To pour coolant find the coolant reservoir and pour fluid until the max line is filled.
Replace the engine coolant temp sensor.
No ( not unless you want to wreck the engine ) If the freeze plug is " blown " than the engine coolant will just pour out
yes, BUT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. usually you have to drain the old coolant, reconnect hoses, fill with water, pour in the stop leak, let the engine run for a while, empty, refill, let the engine run etc... please be sure to follow the directions.
Bad water pump, the seal is gone. Get a new water pump.
Freeze plug at the rear of the motor. Between the transmission and the motor.
Its inside the coolant overflow tank/reservoir (its the plastic reservoir where you pour in your coolant). Look on the side (the side that faces the engine) and you'll see an electrical wire is connected by a harness. That's your coolant level sensor.
Look carefully around your engine bay and identify parts. The windshield washer, oil, trans, and coolant lids are almost always marked on top. You put the antifreeze in the radiator or coolant overflow bottle. You often have to drain or remove some water first. - Better yet, get a manual for your car so you can understand it and do simple maintenance.
With your engine cold there usually is a cold fill mark on the reservoir or there might be a dipstick attached to the reservoir cap that has a L or F mark
on the drivers side of the engine. right above the spark plugs. it has a thin wire sticking out of it. BE READY coolant will pour out as soon as you remove it.
cold engine only remove the radiator cap and pour then fill to cold line on the reservoir
To add coolant to and 1985 Mercedes 380se find the reservoir located in the engine bay next to the radiator. Make sure to use the proper mixture of coolant to water ratio and pour until the appropriate level. Overfilling can lead to sprouting a leak while the engine is running.
