How do you change oil and filter in Honda civic 2000?

Before changing the oil on the 2000 Honda Civic drain the existing oil from the car. Locate the oil filter which is behind the engine. Raise the car and remove the filter. Install the new filter with some oil in it to prevent a dry start. Cap the drain bolt and pour in the new oil.

What cause a 1995 Honda Civic to cut off when it get hot?

It sounds like it might be a case of vapor lock in the fuel line; the engine is starved for fuel because the gas cannot get to it. Once the engine cools, the vapor lock dissipates and the engine can then function properly. Pour in a fuel tank additive which will dissolve any moisture in the tank and run the engine for about ten minutes. Depending on how much moisture is in the tank, you may have to repeat the procedure.

Where do you add automatic transmission fluid to a 1995 Honda Civic EX and where is the dipstick?

The transmission dipstick is yellow and it is located under the air filter. To add transmission fluid just pour DEXTRON into where the dipstick is, once you remove the dipstick. You generally don't need to add any fluids. It does need to be changed just like the oil. Do this at least every 2 years. It will cost you though, its something you have to bring it into a mechanic for. If its anything like my g/f's 1997 Civic Ex, its on the passanger side of the engine, in between the firewall and the transmission. Its hard to see it because it only sticks up about 4 inches or so, but once you spot it, it becomes obvious. go here. http://www.geocities.com/amannadrummer/civicextranny.txt
