In the brake master cylinder. It's a cast tank with a wire-retained lid, located on the left (drivers) side of the engine compartment on the firewall. It takes Dot 3, or you can use Dot 4 brake fluid; just do not use Dot 5, it is not reverse compatible.
Driver's side, under hood, next to firewall, near or on top of master cylinder.
Located and threaded into the master cylinder, it works off brake fluid pressure. Make sure it has power going into one of the terminals and will have power out with the pedal depressed. Note thatthe brake lights won't work if there is a problem with your brake fluid level beingextremely low, or you can't get the pedal to pump up (works different from most cars).
I had one of these in high school about 25 years ago, I recall there is an access panel on the floor below the passenger seat that accesses the brake master cylinder. Try that.

I learned to drive on my dad's 1949 Chrysler Windsor. We had the car until about 1969. If I remember correctly, the brake fluid reservoir was under either the drivers or passenger's floorboards in the front seat area of the car. There was a panel that lifted up when you moved the carpet and it was under that small door.

It's bolted to the firewall on the driver's side, right in front of the brake pedal. The fluid container is in the trunk, and is connected to the master cylinder with a hose.
