A similar system of data sharing has been implemented for the Indian ocean, primarily by India. Discussions have taken place about the Atlantic and Caribbean, but no centrally coordinated warning center has been established. Many nations bordering the ocean, particularly those which have suffered tsunami damage in the past, have created their own warning systems and share data with neighbors.
