"Edward Moore Kennedy(80) was born in Dorchester, Suffolk County, Massachusetts February 22, 1932.(81) He was named after Edward Moore, his father's personal aide and close friend."

The family story has always been told, never documented for obvious reasons . . .

Edward Moore was my Great-Grandfather. He was Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr.'s personal aide and confidant.

More accurately, Eddie orchestrated Joseph's Boston political machine and coordinated Joseph's bootleg operations.

Edward built the Kennedy financial/political empire.

History has proven that Jos. Sr. used all available resources and made noncommittal promises to get what he wanted, no matter the cost.

(The money machines -- Las Vegas, Sinatra, the Costa Nostra -- the victorious presidential election of John F. -- Robert as Attorney General.)

When Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. became the Ambassador of England he disavowed himself from anything/anyone unclean -- the ones who made his position possible.

My Great-Grandfather lived his final year's as a common man.

He never amassed any wealth.

We applaud him.

He was a great father of four -- Samuel, Alice, Lillian and Edward, Jr. -- my grandfather.

I vaguely remember being a wee young lass, sitting upon my great-grandfather's lap, I heard a tale . . .

At least Edward Moore will always be immortilized through Ted Kennedy.

Both define "HONOR".
