The Toyota Tacoma throttle position sensor is adjustable. There is an adjustment screw on the back of the throttle position sensor.
The speed sensor is on the top rear of the transmission. It is held on by one screw.
For an automatic, on the top of the transmission. When standing in front of the car with the hood up, the speed sensor will be attached to the top of the transmission with a two-wire connector attached. It will look like this: http://tinyurl.com/2fpsvwb It is attached to the transmission by a single T25 Torx screw. Detach the connector, remove the screw and pull the sensor out - you may have to jiggle it a little.
The speed sensor is on the top back corner of the transmission housing. It is held down by one screw.
The speed sensor is located under the shift linkage on top of the transmission and is only held in place by one (10mm) screw.
For the manual transmission is located on the upper left (driver) side of the transmission where the transmission bolts to the engine. It reads the flywheel. The mounting screw also holds down a metal cover for the sensor. I was able to reach it from under the car when the transmission was lowered.
unscrew old unit screw in new unit.
The sensor will either screw in or have a bolt holding it. Disconnect the wiring plug then unscrew or remove the bolt to change.
It should have wires plugged into it. You unplug it, unscrew the sensor and screw the new one in and plug it up. Piece of cake. Just make sure that the sensor your unscrewing is the temp sensor.
SENSOR IS ON TOP OF THE TRANSMISSION -JUST BELOW THE BACK OF THE BATTERY
It's mounted to the top of the transmission at the back. It has a two wire connector and is heal on by one screw.
the knock sensor is located on the driver side of the engine right under the intake it is about 1 in. it is connected so you will have to unplug it and then just screw it off
