It comes out the left side, towards the rear of the tranny. The metal line runs up on top of the transmission to a port behind the throttle body. Other vacuum line are also connected to that port.
The vacuum modulator on a 1989 Chevy K-1500 4wd 5.7 is underneath the transmission. It can be reached from under the car.
ANSWERED----SEE--------,,, 1989 1500 Chevy transmission repair. I have a Chevy and I am having trouble with the transmission-----------Good luck, Jamison if the transmission will not shift until it reaches high rpms you may need to adjust the tv aka throttle valve cable. If miss-adjusted you could burn the clutches and gears completely up
NO it will not.

There is no vacuum at the nipple on the EGR VALVE. The Vacuum line that hooks to it should suck your finger when you speed the engine up. That line will come from the TBI ( Throttle Body Injection housing) and hook to the EGR valve, and when the engine RPMs. go up it sucks the EGR VALVE OPEN. UNDERSTAND.
700R4 transmission Always automatics
A vacuum leak can do that. Check the gasket at the base of the throttle body for leaks. It was common for that gasket to crack and allow a vacuum leak. With the engine running, spray carb cleaner around the base of the throttle body. If the idle changes briefly while you are spraying that area you have found the leak.
May be a vacuum leak
on top of the throttle body
The fuel pressure regulator would be located in the throttle body in 1989.
No it will not even bolt up. GM redesigned the transmission and its not even close to being the same as the 1989 trans.
