heater coil
Much lower or else there would be little point in using as antifreeze
Intake manifold gasket leak....big problem with that engine. Sorry for the bad news.
If you have water instead of antifreeze in your cooling system, it will freeze! You won't be able to start the car, because the engine is connected to the water pump (which won't be able to move). If you have nothing in your cooling system (no water, no antifreeze, nothing else), then you need your head checked. Your car won't start either.
if you find puddles of antifreeze around the water pump or while the engine is running,if you feel spits coming off the belt while its running.
Could be a problem with the engine cooling fan , water pump , restricted radiator , any body else have any ideas ?
No. That would be impossible, a molecule can be made of water and nothing else.
Yes but I wouldn't use it for anything else after that, seeing as antifreeze is very toxic
windshield leak that runs down behind the dash and onto the floor.
Internal engine antifreeze leak what else could cause besides headgasket? there is no antifreeze in the oil it is clean
Since it is fuel injected, you will trip the engine light if you start ditching hoses. Now if you are running a smog exempt engine, you can lose just about every smog component you are running and ignore the light. But I'm not sure why else you would want to unplug hoses?
It could be a partially blocked heater core, a faulty heater valve that allows the coolant through the heater core or it could be a faulty water pump.
My Chevy Syburban is consistently loosing antifreeze every couple of days. Put new water pump on, radiator hose still loosing antifreeze somewhere What coud be the problem I do not want to replace the head gasket or something else will cost over $1000 If a head gasket is blown, the vehicle will normally run rough, if at all, due to water vapor in the cylinder(s). If your windows are constantly fogged up, you probably have a faulty heater core which would deplete antifreeze. There might also be a leak in the radiator or transmission cooler. Or maybe just a faulty hose.
