I would not recommend doing any cutting near the fuel tank. Your just asking for trouble. Drop the fuel tank, remove the pump, install a new one, and then reinstall the tank. That is the only safe way to do it.
easy. just level it to level 100 and it'll hatch.
At first, water was pressing on the hatch from one side. When water was pressing equally on both sides, it was easy to open the hatch. Remember this if your car falls into the harbour.

A submarine hatch can be opened fairly easily if the submarine is filled with water because the water pressure on each side of the hatch is equalized.
That's easy, the shifts will seem to not be as fluid. They'll be rough, the car might seem to not want to initially move even though the tires are on gravel and not rotating at an excess speed.

Remove the belts, pulley, them bolts and gasket. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be happy you have so much extra space in front of your undersized engine. It made that very easy.
