Moses wrote nothing about Jesus, but the author of Matthew's Gospel sought to show Moses prefiguring Jesus. By means of hindsight, it became possible to draw a parallel between the revered patriarch and Jesus, and perhaps show that Moses seemed to have expected him.
Matthew had Herod slaughter the innocent infants of Bethlehem because he feared Jesus, just as the Old Testament says that the pharaoh slaughtered the Israelite infants because he feared Moses. Joseph went with Jesus to Egypt and Jesus saved his people, just as the Old Testament Joseph went to Egypt and saved his people. Matthew even says that Joseph's father was Jacob (Heli in Luke's Gospel) just as the Old Testament Joseph's father was Jacob.
Some say that Deuteronomy 18:15-18 is a prophecy of Jesus:
The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
This passage does not mention Jesus and does not say anything that identifies the prophet as Jesus, nor does it describe him as the Son of God or anything more than a prophet. It could refer to any of the major prophets to come, or any one of the many other Jews who claimed to be the Messiah. By itself it is meaningless. But, with Matthew's Gospel in mind, it is just possible to think that, if Moses wrote Deuteronomy, he could have been talking of Jesus.
Jesus didn't write anything to do with the bible.....his stories were said orally then one day john decided to write how he died and then Matthew mark and luke......they wrote the stories from stories they were told so Jesus didn't wirte any of the bible he merly just explain the stories so future people could write it :)
No Moses is not a kin of Jesus but David is .
All the words in the Bible have been either inspired, spoken to, or revealed via revaluation to men and the men have written what they have seen, were inspired to write or were told by God. From Moses, who spoke to God, Jesus who was the son of God, and Paul the Apostle (for example) who spoke and saw and was taught by Jesus and the Holy Spirit though Revelation.
God used many people to write the bible. One of them is Moses, he wrote the book of genesis. They writers of the bible are either instructed by God or inspired by the Holy spirit( the holy spirit tells them)
"Testament" is usually used to divide the modern Bible into two parts - "pre-Jesus" and "post-Jesus". The Old Testament, or Tanach, was penned by many men, but is considered to be the Word of God. The first BOOK of the modern Bible (Genesis) is attributed to Moses.
In the Bible, Moses comes first, then Jesus, then Paul.
jesus
The Bible says that Moses was born long before the time of Jesus and clearly knew nothing of Jesus. It says that he followed God after he appeared to Moses in the burning bush.
jesus did not write any of the books in the bible.
Moses (Numbers 12:3)
Please, please read the Bible! Jesus did not give the Ten Commandments to Moses. Moses received the Ten Commandments from God.
If you are referring to the burning bush in the story of Moses that said "I am who I am." That is God.
It's not directly stated in the Bible or elsewhere, but it is generally assumed that Jesus knew the history of Judaism, including Moses and the Ten Commandments.
Moses: As the Lawgiver. Jesus: As the Messiah. John the Baptist:As the Herald of the Messiah. Enosh: An ancient Prophet. Adam: The first man.
No, she didn't, she gave birth to Jesus and married Joseph, a carpenter but she didn't write a bible.
Great question! Moses perhaps? The first books of the bible are guessed to be written down by Moses.
No one knows what Jesus looked like, nor did he write any of the Christian bible.
