It doesn't 'say' it. It's implied.
According to The Bible, the only ones on earth at that time were Adam's descendants, male and female(Genesis 5:4+5), so there really was no other place to find a wife. When God created mankind, initially, they were perfect, in mind and body, so there would have been NO genetic irregularities. Even after sinning, though now imperfect, they would have been far closer to physical perfection than we are today, so marrying a close relative would not have the genetic problems it does today. Infact, it wasn't until the Mosaic Law was given to the nation of Israel in 1513 BCE that family members were directly commanded NOT to marry (Leviticus 18:9+17+24) .
The bible does not record this. BUT if you think this out carefully there is only one answer. Adam and Eve, the very first two people on earth had two sons, Cain and Abel. Cain murdered Abel and "went out from the presence of the Lord" to the land of Nod.
The population of the earth went from 4 to 3 people. Adam and Eve had another son, Seth. We are not told if Adam and Eve had more children but they probably did as Adam lived another 800 years.
The only girls that Cain could have married would have been one of his sisters (born to Adam and Eve after Cain left for Nod) or another close relative, say one of Seth's daughters (a cousin). After all these were the only persons on the face of the earth.
Close marriages were common in the early centuries of man on earth so this is not strange.
If you think about it Seth would have had the same problem. Who did Seth marry? It would have had to be a sister.
The bible does not say exactly how many children Adam and Eve had .But they had sons and daughters beside Abel and Cain, so Cain married his sister.
The bible does not say that Cain was black.
first of all i would like to say the Bible did not in clear terms record anything of the sort, and looking at the story of Cain and Abel in the Bible critically one can say that Abel was yet to get married at the time he was murdered by Cain and such had no issue and\or Child.
The Bible doesn't say.
The Bible doesn't say.
This question purposefully has no answer, as the Bible states that God made only Adam and Eve, who then procreated, so any children would necessarily be the product of incest. At the time of the Bible's authorship incest was outlawed, so this was simply left without explanation--though we must infer incest.Since in my opinion this is a mythological tale, such questions of morality are not meant to be relevant unless specifically addressed by the text.Jewish AnswerAccording to the Midrash (an additional Jewish teaching) Abel and Cain married their twin sisters. The prohibition of incest had not yet been given. It was only after they sinned that one had to search for their marriage partner.
According to the Bible, God punished Cain for killing his brother Abel by making him a wanderer on the earth. God also put a mark on Cain to protect him from anyone who might try to harm him, stating that "whoever kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over."
(It doesn't say in the Bible how old Cain and Abel were. But Adam was 130 years old when he had them, and also, as soon as Cain went to the land of Nod he found his wife. So they were probably around the age (guess) 70 - 140 years old, which is like 15 - 17 years old now.) I read in the bible : Adam and Eve were 130 years old when they had Seth. Cain and Abel would have been born much before that
God put a mark on Cain but the Bible does not say where or what type of mark God put on him.
Mark Zuckerberg married Priscilla Chan. The couple married on May 19, 2012.
The Bible doesn't tell us, but it does say that Adam and Eve had daughters (Genesis ch.5), so we can assume that Cain married one of his sisters. He would have had to, since that's all there would have been at the time. The law of Moses later said not to marry siblings, but that law was given much later than the time of Cain.
The Bible tells us that Adam and Eve had other sons and daughters. Though it should be appalling to us, brothers and sisters married and had children. So Cain was referring to his other brothers and sisters and their children. The Bible doesn't say how old Cain lived to, but Adam lived to 930. He could have had many, many children in that time, and so could all of his children. It's a safe guess that Cain also could have lived to be in his 900s, as all the recorded ages up until the flood were about that.
