The battery in your 2002 Buick LeSabre (and probably all LeSabres that share the same body style, 2000-2005) is located under the rear seat. To reach it you simply pop out the rear seat cushion by pushing in at the bottom and lifting. It's a special battery with vents that connect to a vent hose the other end of which goes through the floor pan to the outside. When reinstalling be very sure that the vent hose is in good condition and properly connected to the battery. The hydrogen sulfide fumes fom a lead/acid battery can attack the seat cushion or eat a hole in the floor, not to mention being highly flammable. When I had to replace mine I discovered that not all battery shops carry the proper battery for this vehicle. The best price I could find actually was at a Buick dealership for an OEM battery (which has held up quite well). Do not try to "cheap out" and substitute a "normal" battery. It will end up costing you more and could potentially be very dangerous.
