The sensor used for displaying the engine coolant temperature on the gauge in the dash is located near the thermostat housing. I have included a link that has pictures that show its location. Just click on the pictures to enlarge them. When you do, you can see the wires that go to the sensor.
Good Luck, Greg
where is the speed sensor for the transmission located in 2001 chevy venture
Hi, The temperature sensor for the cooling system is located right next to the thermostat housing. This is located on the left side of the engine (driver side), just below the throttle body. I have included a link that shows where the thermostat housing is located, and if you look closely, you will see the wires and connector that go to the sensor. Good Luck, Greg
Where is the camshaft sensor located in 1997 Chevy venture
Hi, I'm assuming you mean the coolant temperature sensor - the one that drives the temperature indicator gauge in the dash. If that is the case, the temperature sensor is located right next to the thermostat housing. This is located on the left side of the engine (driver side), just below the throttle body. I have included a link that shows where the thermostat housing is located, and if you look closely, you will see the wires and connector that go to the sensor. Good Luck, Greg
The camshaft sensor on a 2001 Chevrolet Venture is located behind the rear bearing cap. It monitors the rotation of the camshaft and updates the computer constantly.
Hi,The coolant temperature sensor is location very close to the thermostat itself, but that is hard to find or get to also. If you follow the top radiator hose back to the engine, you will see where the thermostat housing is, very close to the throttle body. There sensor is just forward of the thermostat housing.I have included a link to a page with shows where to the bleed valves are located, and the bleed valve that is close to the thermostat is also very near the coolant temperature sensor. In on of the pictures you can see the wiring at the top of the sensor. It is a tight fit, but you can get in there.Good Luck, GregP.S. The pictures in the link show a 2001 Venture, but the engines in these two different years are identical and the locations are the same.
The thermostat sensor is located on the top of the thermostat which is located directly on top of the intake, on the front of the engine, connected to your top radiator hose. Hope this helps, Brenda The thermostat sensor is located on the top of the thermostat which is located directly on top of the intake, on the front of the engine, connected to your top radiator hose. The thermostat is located below the alternator on the drivers side. The coolant sensor is right above the thermostat.
beside thermostat
The coolant temp sensor is located next the the thermostat housing.
Hi, Probably 95% of the time, or more, the problem with a fuel gauge not reading correctly is the fuel level sensor. This sensor is located in the fuel tank and that tank will have to be drained and dropped to get to the sensor. Sorry about that. Good Luck
Follow the upper hose from your radiator back to the thermostat. The temp sensor is located right behind the thermostat on the back side of the engine.
