East Timor is in the eastern part of the island Timor. It is part of the Indonesian archipelago positioned between the South China Sea and the Indian ocean. It includes includes the enclave of Oecussi, which is located within West Timor (Indonesia). Aside from Indonesia East Timor's closest neighbor is Australia, 400 mi to the south.
Timor is an island that is located in Southeast Asia. Its capital city is Dili and as of 2012, the population was 1.21 million people.
