It is under the dashboard to the left of the steering collum, you will need a flashlight to see it mounted about level with the air outlet. There will be a couple of replays, top to bottom: fuel (green plug), ignition (brown plug), and sun roof (neutral, or white plug) (if equipped). You may have to buy one and then look to see which one it matches. Typically these relays never go "bad", I would strongly suspect a leaking windsheild, or body, making relay replacement a temporary "fix".
The 1997 automobile fuel pump relay switch can be found in the fuse box. The fuel pump relay switch will be in the third column, second from the top.
90 to 94 legacy fuel pump relay is at the top of the fuse box next to the driver left foot , it is connected to a green plug next to a brown plug.
The fuel pump relay on a 1992 Subaru Legacy is just above the internal fuse box. The fuse box is located on the drivers side, under the dash.
If it is like the '92, it is in a very difficult spot -- behind the extreme left side of the dashboard. It is behind some of the metal support braces and very hard to get to.

That is the Fuel Injector relay and not the Fuel Pump relay. it's located in the fuse box (engine compatment)you will have to remove a cover once it's opened it's the relay # 103(it's a green relay).
