The acid rain also leaches out minerals like arsenic and lead from the igneous rock, further polluting the water.

Acid rain is also bad in metropolitan areas where the acids can attack limestone, cement and iron.

I don't know, I live in The United States, but I think there the same as over here, building damage (acid rain), and lung diseases (air pollution).
