All 4x4's Ford Expeditions are not AWD... I have a 1998 Ford Expedition XLT and it has (2H/AWD/4L/4H). But, my brother has a 2000 Ford Expediton EB (AWD/4L/4H).
Door Code Location...I actually found the door code behind the fuse box area (Driver Side) on my brother's 2000 Ford Expedition EB. There is a big white sticker with 5 numbers starting with number 1####. Hope this helps...

The fuse box of a 2003 Ford Expedition EB is located in the panel inside the car, located at the foot area of the front passenger, on the right side. Pull the right side cover off, and change the fuse.
My brother's 2000 Ford Expedition EB does the same thing only when one of his tires is low in air. Due to the AWD. Instead of the 2wd.
On my 1998 Ford Expedition XLT. I put 10w30 or 10w40 Castro's Motor Oil. I have over 150,000 miles on my truck and it's running like a champ. My brother has a 2000 Ford Expedition EB with over 250,000 miles on it and he uses the same oil and it's running like a champ. He also tows alot.
