The switch is under the dash connected to the push rod for the clutch master cylinder.
The clutch safety switch is located on the linkage attached to the pedal, approx. 6" up from the pad, however if your f-150 has cruise control, the cutout switch and the clutch safety switch are often a common switch(meaning that both switches are built into one unit) also you did not specify what year your truck is.with-out the year and the options I cannot tell you which wires you need to connect to by-pass the switch. Of course the switch was put there for safety reasons and should not be eliminated
If this is an automatic transmission, the switch is located on the driver side of the transmission housing where the linkage plugs into the transmission. If it is a manual transmission the clutch safety switch is located near the top of the clutch pedal.
The F150 uses a safety switch on the clutch system. The switch is under the dash on the clutch pedal arms. If the switch is bad, then the engine will not start.
Should be on the upper end of the clutch pedal under dash area
If automatic: The switch is mounted on the side of the transmission. If stick-shift: The switch is mounted on the clutch pedal, up behind the dashboard. Hope this helps, fordbuff1991
Inside the truck behind or on the clutch pedal
cruise control not working,u need to check the fuses also check the clutch safety switch as this also has to do with cruise control
5th gear manual overdrive transmition. i want to replace clutch. recently replaced but brakes were locking and caused clutch to burn out.
IT'S PROBABLY NOT A SCREW, BUT AN ELECTRIC SWITCH, THAT THE CLUTCH PEDDLE ACTIVATES WHEN YOU MASH THE CLUTCH PEDDLE DOWN TO A CERTAN LEVEL. LOOK FOR A SWITCH ON THE CLUTCH PEDDLE WHERE THE LINKAGE HOOKS UP, WITH TWO WIRES COMING OFF. THESE TWO WIRES MAKE CONTACT AND COMPLETE THE STARTER CURCUIT INSIDE THE SWITCH. FORD AND CHEVY SWITCHES WORK SIMULAR. I THINK THE FORD HAS A PIN THAT THIS SWITCH HOOKS OVER ONE PART AND SLIDES THROUGH THE OTHER SIDE AND A COTTER TYPE KEEPER HOLD IT IN PLACE.
Somewhere on the shifter.
