OPEN HOOD. AS YOU LOOK AT FIREWALL IT IS ON LEFT SIDE. 2 BOLTS AND 1 GROUND WIRE BOLT. BUT THERE IS NO 5 DIGIT FACTORY CODE STICKER ON OUTSIDE OF COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The code is located on the computer module under the rear passenger side pillar below the top seat belt anchor point. Remove top trim by hand. Gently pull bottom trim out to see the 5 digit code.
the computer module on this vehichile is located in the back of the vehicle. Open the panel where the jacl is stored and look to your right there should be a silver box which is the computer module. Is so cases the door code is located here. there should be a 5 digit number that will unlock the vehicle
The keypad can be operated with the factory set 5-digit entry code; this code is located on the owner's wallet card in the glove box, is marked on the computer module, and is available from your authorized dealer. You can also create your own 5-digit personal entry code. In the event the wallet card is lost, the factory set code cannot be reprogrammed. When pressing the controls on the keypad, press the middle of the controls to ensure a good activation.
Im not sure if it is different on my XLT but it is located in the rear compartment where the jack is. It is that yellow plastic color. On it is the 5 digit code for the keyless entry. Hope this helps you out.
5 digit code some have said it is on a sticker on the computer located in the floor board area. other than that stop by a ford dealer and ask them how much they will charge you to pull it out with their computer.
You can't reprogram the 'factory' code, but you can add your own personal code to it. Do the following: enter the factory code within 5 seconds hit the 1/2 key within 5 seconds enter your 5 digit personal code (it cannot be 11111 or 22222 or 33333, etc) you're done. Note: if you don't know the factory code it is located inside the tire jack compartment in the rear driver's side of the explorer on a white sticker - usually hard to find and hard to read, but it's there.
You have to take off the defrost grille on the passenger side of the dash. Go out side and shine a light in the whole in the dash. The five digit number is on a sticker on one of the electronic boxes located there under the dash
Your vehicle has a factory set 5 digit code that operates the keyless entry system. You can also program your own 5 digit personal entry code. The factory-set code is located on the owner's wallet card in the glove compartment.
I found it! The computer module for a 2002 Ford Explorer is located on the passenger side, just behind the rear passenger door. It is under the molding, just in front of the seatbelt. You must remove the molding to get to it. (It all just snaps off) You will need to remove the bolt where the seatbelt attached to the base near the floor board. This will make it much easier. The computer module will be about 3" by 5" and grey. It will be in a metal bracket (it just slides up and out). The factory security code will be printed on the white label. It will be to the far right side, under the barcode. There will be several other codes and tech info on it, but just look for the 5 digit code by itself. Sounds complicated, but it's really easy- took me about 10 minutes. Good Luck!
How do I get the 5 digit entry code, just purchased 2007 ford explore sport trac and not on th owners wallet card
a key...or the clicker? OR The code is on the door lock module that is located just ahead of the jack.
It is on a tan box behind the emergency brake.P.S. It's the 5 digit number.
