in the block...
What drain plug are you looking for?
I had this problem on a 97 Jetta. There is a U shaped cut out in the insulation on the firewall and when you lift it up, there should be a rubber piece attached to the metal of the firewall. It feels like a plug but there is a flap that you can lift up to allow the water to drain. There was a rubber band in mine that caused it to plug.
The Coolant Drain Plug for a 1997 Honda Accord LX 4cyl is at the bottom of the Radiator on the left side, if you were facing the Vechiel. It if stock it looks like a Black Medal Wingnut, unless different Drain Plug was put in by previous Owner. The block drain is an 8mm plug next to the oil filer on a 94 Accord LX 2.2L. 94-97 might be the same. There is a 10mm plug near the oil filter also, but it contains oil... I know. I have tried to remove my coolant block drain plug but without success so far... It is torqued! hw
The 1997 VW Jetta air conditioning condenser drain hose can be found on the bottom of the air conditioner compressor. The drain hose will direct condensation to the bottom of the engine compartment.
If you can't find drain plug, just disconnect lower radiator hose.
The drain plug is on the bottom of the radiator. It is on the opposite side from the bottom hose.
There isn't one, you have to remove the pan to drain the fluid.
If you are standing in front of the car. It is underneath of the drivers side.So you have to replace drain plug from under car.
Under the truck.......lol
Drain the excess oil out. Remove the drain plug.
the size of drain plug and the oil level check plug is 17 mm on s-10 1999 manual transmission
The drain plug for a 1997 Mazda Millenia is located on the lower left-hand corner of the radiator. Be sure to have something to catch the water and coolant in so it doesn't go on the ground where cats and dogs can get to it. Coolant tastes sweet, but is deadly to animals as well as humans.
It is 17mm.
Did you look on the oil pan on the bottom back side of the engine for the plugs?
What do you mean? The heat is fine in my 97 volkswagen jetta.
It has to be at the base of the sump, otherwise the oil would not drain from it.
At the rear or side of the oil pan
Lower passenger side of the radiator.
On a 96, it is on the passenger side under dash and pokes through firewall.
There is usually one on the bottom of the radiator.Possible AnswerI have gone to the dealer and the chief mechanic said that there is no drain plug on the 1997 Mazda protege. Sounds sketchy to me, but I can't find it either. ***Many (most I think) cars have two drains in the cooling system -- one on the bottom of the radiator and one on the engine block. You normally open both when changing the coolant because the coolant won't drain out of the block very well if you don't. I expect that the dealer and chief mechanic were answering the question "Where is engine block coolant drain plug?" I have just been crawling around under my 2002 Protege which I think has much the same engine as the 1997. Damned if I can find a drain plug on the block. Based on what you were told, I'm going to proceed on the assumption that there isn't one*** vtcodger
bottom left or bottom right of radiator
The drain fill on a 1997 Dodge Avenger manual transmission is on the bottom of the transmission. It is located up from the drain plug.
