I had this problem on a 97 Jetta. There is a U shaped cut out in the insulation on the firewall and when you lift it up, there should be a rubber piece attached to the metal of the firewall. It feels like a plug but there is a flap that you can lift up to allow the water to drain. There was a rubber band in mine that caused it to plug.
You can find the evaporator drain on the bottom of your air-conditioner compressor. The evaporator drain hose will go from the compressor to the bottom of the engine compartment.

To find the evaporator housing drain you will need to check your Chrysler manual. Look for the under hood diagram for it's exact location.
The evaporator drain is on the lower side of the passenger side of the firewall. It is easier seen from underneath.

the radio code is on the back of the radio. take the radio out and you can see it.
I have a 97 and the diagram was in the owner's manual. There was also one on the fuse box door.
Crawl under the vehicle and find the drain line. Use a unsharpened pencil to unclog the line. Be careful not to put a hole in the line.
Take the VIN and proof of ownership to a VW dealer, they can cut a fresh key.
The drain plug is on the bottom of the radiater but the best way to change it is to have it profesionally flushed
Hey Alan==It is against the firewall right under the evaporator. You just have to find it and unclog it using a long rod or something like that. It may look like just a bulge in the case but be careful because you can damage the evaporator if you use something sharp. It is about 1 to 1-1/2 inches up to the evaporator through the hole. Goodluck Joe Easy Fix Use a shop vacuum to suck the crud and water out. This fix also works on your house central AC drain. Al
