PA66-GF33 is a purge solenoid for the evaporative emissions control. There wasn't an Intrepid until 1993
The p1443 code means a problem with the evaporative emissions system. There could be a problem with a broken or unhooked vacuum hose. Also could be a problem with the solenoid or sensor between throttle body and evaporative canister.
its under the hood on the passanger side on thefender wall its a 2 in cilinder piece attacher to a rather large hoes
The evaporative emissions (EVAP) canister purge solenoid on a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 4.8 liter engine is located behind the throttle body, near the front of the engine. I have a picture of it that I could send to your email if you want.
It is located on the firewall above the back of the valve cover on the driver's side of the engine. It is mounted with a rubber and slides up and off the mounting bracket.
The solenoid, on your 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse, is attached to the top of the starter. The solenoid is attached by four retaining screws to the starter.
The shift solenoid on a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse is on the back of the valve body. Removing the transmission pan is required to reach the solenoid.
If your car is 1996 or newer, than it has a vent solenoid in the gas tank, which is used by the car's computer for evaporative emissions testing. The vent solenoid is usually open, but in your case, it is stuck closed and is not letting air to escape the tank during refueling. Take the car to a reputable garage or dealership and have the vent solenoid tested.
First you have to remove the air filter housing, to see the carbon canister with hoses. The canister is oval, from top view. There are two evaporative emissions devices that connect to this canister. One is the Purge Valve Sensor, it is like a one inch black box with wire connectors and two connectors for tube on top. The other is the evaporative emissiong purge soleniod. It is usually a white plastic cylinder, about 2 inches long and also with two connectors for tubing. Make sure you make note of the correct direction of the two tubes when replacing or cleaning. The solenoid will show an arrow indicating direction to motor.
1- Loose gas cap 2- Vacuum line off of fuel tank or evaporative charcoal canister 3- Bad evaporative vent solenoid 4- Bad wires to evap vent solenoid Its most likely the evaporative charcoal canister Zak.
Yes, the Diamante has an EGR solenoid. On any Mitsubishi, if the car has an egr valve, it has a solenoid to operate the valve. Just follow the vacuum line from the valve and it will go to the solenoid. There may be another one way valve between the valve and the solenoid, though. The solenoid is electronic.
