heater core hoses not hot
On my 1995 Ford Explorer with 4.0 L OHV engine , where the heater hoses are connected right at the firewall , the hose nearest the driver's side is the supply hose to the heater core , and the hose nearest the pasenger side is the outlet from the heater core. (Helpfull)
Usually you just buy hose and bypass the core.
There are two heater core hose that goes to the firewall the inlet and outlet. through that hose, you will also have the rear heater core hose attached to a T joint in both the inlet and outlet hose. You splice the hose of the front heater core inlet and connect that to the rear heater core inlet hose. Same goes to the Outlet hose with the T joint using a conncetor which you can buy at your auto parts store, 3/4 inch size. Basically you are bypassing the front heater core that is connected to the firewall. You wont have any defroster and heater for the front, but the rear vents and control will have heat.
It should be the same as my 1995 - at the firewall the heater hose nearest the drivers side is the inlet hose to the heater core
Drain the water from the cooling system. Remove the water hose from the heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
The return hose for the heater core generally leads back the the water pump. The inlet for the heater core comes from the engine.
drain coolant, disconect heater hose's, remove glove box, remove heater core cover, remove heater core. reverse order to reinstall.
The heater core is on the back side of the firewall. It has 2 hoses of 1/2 inch diameter running into it. It is about in the center of the firewall. Take the 2 hoses off the firewall. Get a hose with good pressure and back flush the heater core by running the hose into the side with the long hose on it. If you are not sure which side to do then do it both ways.
Cut both heater hoses and hook them together. Make the hose go from the motor to the radiator.
the inlet heater hose that connects to the top of the water pump connects to which outlet on the heater core? the far outboard or the inside? this is in a 2002 ford f250, 7.3.
heater?AC fan does not go on? Temperature gage does not work.
