does nissan skyline have a relay for high beam hidden somewhere ? if you know let me know ,have low beam but not high and the bulbs are fine
NO!
The high beam may be blown. ---- Bad relay.
fuse # 16 - 20 amp - High Beam Headlamps
next to battery ,black cover with relays inside it
If only one beam isn't working, it probably isn't the relay. More likely, it's in either the harness or the wiring.
There isn't a high beam relay but there are headlight relays located in the engine compartment. There are two, one of the driver side and one for the passenger side.
Low to high beam is the lever on the steering column, if there is a problem, look there first...
The switch or the relay, check the cheapest, or simplest thing first, which could be the relay, but the symptom points more to the switch.
I do not know about the SL1, but often there is a relay for high current circuits such as headlights. You could check for proper operation of the high-beam headlight switch at the excitation terminal of the relay and check for headlight circuit energy at the output on the relay.
Headlight relay is located behind the dash, left of steering column
is a switch to change to low beam is located under the emergency brake
