The switch is located on the passenger side just above and to the rear of the motor mount. The plug has one green wire in it and has a red snap clip that ahs to be snapped to one side before you can squeeze the the locking tab to get the connector off. I did it blind from up top just to see what was going on. Its a real PITA. Make sure when your are getting ready to put it back on that you make sure the inside of it is clean. You will need a 1 1/16" deep socket to r/r the switch. the new one should have a thread sealant already on it. If you can turn a wrench, yiou can handle this. The plug is a little tricky. there's a piece of it that flips open, and then there's a sealing dart in the extra port where the vent goes. Can't miss it, its black plastic and brass with a one wire connector (two if its got the vent wire installed).

No. A 2001 Intrepid does not have an inertia switch.

The leak detection pump switch on your Dodge Intrepid is located beneath the battery. If you can not locate this on your own, it may be best to have a licensed mechanic take a look at it.

There is no fuel pump inertia switch on a 1999 Dodge Intrepid.
