ask Obama if he would build a nuclear fusion plant besides the White House of ask Mr. Bush if he would build one near his ranch in Texas. Nuclear energy has many drawbacks. One of them is the water used for cooling the reactors. it gets hot passed boiling temperature but the chamber holds it and it is unable to evaporate and once disposed in the local river it will evaporate river water and kill species of fish and reptille. There are many other ones I wont take your time to mention.

Nuclear fusion, the uniting of two atoms to produce energy, needs extremely hot temperatures in order to occur. It only works in stars, hydrogen bombs, and for a very few minutes in a human made reactor. It is not the same as nuclear fission, the splitting of two atoms to create energy, which works in far more reactors, as well as stars and bombs.
