Standing in front of the engine with the distributor to your left:
There are 2 screws that hold the distributor cap - roughly the equivalent of 10:00 and 4:00 on a clock.
#1 is next to, or the closest to the upper / 10:00 screw.
There should also be a 1 embossed into the cap itself.
The order, going clockwise is: 1-6-3-5-2-4
Engine cylinder numbers are:
