For the 4.0 liter OHV , V6 / the 4.0 liter SOHC , V6 / the 5.0 liter V8 engines :
Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine
Sensor 2 would be in the exhaust after the exhaust has passed through the catalytic converter ( downstream sensor )

That would be the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter.

Bank 1 is the side of the V8 or V6 engine where cylinder #1 is located. On Chevy engines that is on the drivers side.
