I found the filter under the splash guard between the oil pan and the front bumper (8 remove star screws).
It is a black canister that extends vertically from the motor.
When you buy the replacement filter it is only the insides and not a typical screw on filter.
It looks like the canister cap is lugged for a large spanner, or can be removed with a smaller end wrench lugs at end of cap. If you have an old school band-type
filter wrench, that
may work as well. You will also need long nose pliers to remove the gasket.
On replacement, make sure to note packaging directions on gasket orientation (tab out)
