Saggara is located west of the Nile River about where the Nile River splits and goes into the Mediterranean Sea.
One can find pictures of the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saggara in Egypt. Saggara is near Cairo and it is also called Sakkara. It was built 4700 years ago with six layers, one built on top of another.
Imhotep is credited as being the master architect responsible for building Pharaoh Djoser's "Step Pyramid" complex at Saggara, and is suspected of also building Sekhemkhet's unfinished pyramid as well. The Step Pyramid is still considered today to be one of the architectural wonders of ancient Egypt.
