The starter motor is situated towards the back of the engine if your facing it.
the round part on top of the starter
its just under the engine in the meddle.
Bolted to the engine at the end of the ignition wire
with great difficulty and cussing. Renault are the worst vehicles ever made...... with citroen, peugeot and traubant.
Starter i located on the back of the engine - between manifold and driveshaft.
On the diesel 1.9 it`s below the exhaust manifold. Best seeing it from underneath.
after diving in to the job myself to save £120 and after a lot of fruastration, the best way is to remove the driveshaft first to give plenty of room for the starter motor to drop out the bottom.....
what is the problems car wont start hi if it will not rotates it is the starter motor if it rotates but will not run then it is the immobillizer
Rear of motor adjacent flywheel on lower block. can only be viewed from under vehicle
On my 2000 model it is at the back of the engine under the inlet manifold and its virtually impossible to access the little sucker.
did u bump start it? it may not be your card it could be your starter motor or even immobiliser, try a jump start first your starter maybe burnt out
