Since the area code "885" does not seem to exist, you might be misinterpreting portions of the number. If the "88" is followed by 10 more digits, then it could stand for the country code of Bangladesh - from which many spam phone calls originate.

Realize that caller IDs can be faked. I would never recommend anyone's calling back a missed number that is unknown or doesn't leave a message. I do not answer calls from numbers that I do not know.

North American area code +1 885 is not in use.

Country code +885 is not in use.

(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)

There is no area code +1 885 in North America (USA, Canada, etc.).

Country code +885 is also unassigned.

no such area code
