Under the intake manifold, directly beneath the #3 runner. Don't confuse it with the sensor for the temperature gauge on the dash, which is under the #2 runner. (And just to be clear, #1 is towards the front of the car, #4 is towards the rear.)
how do adjust timing belt on a volvo 240 DL ?

That's correct it's electronic.
it's on the radiator, just pull the wires and unscrew it.
10 dl = 1 litre so 240 dl = 240/10 l = 24 litres.
no
Driver side, near the center, under the dash

I know its not a flywheel but I just replaced the rear main seal on my automatic 1990 240 DL and I did not index the flexplate, everything runs just fine after the work was done.Hope it helps.
I haven't been able to. I disconnected my air cond. so it wouldn't blow hot air.
