The EGR VALVE is located on the right side of your engine. Behind your AC compressor. Apperance: It is a small rectangular metal box. With a VAC hose going in the right side and one coming out of the bottom. The above answer is incorrect. ON a 1993 Ford explorer the a/c compressor is on the left side of the motor and the egr valve is not electronic in nature and is not a small square box.

theres a tube coming up from the exhaust manifold.
going to the valve with a vacuum line going to it too.
