There are 3 fuse boxes. Main one that controls your lights and radio and such is located inside a panel as you open the driver side door. the Other one one is located inside the passenger side door. The 3rd one would be under the hood close to the firewall. It is a small black box. this one controls the horn and any other components needing more power.
You have a power distribution box located under the hood on the driver side. This is where you will find major fuses. If you are not sure which one it is. look for one that is blown( the wire inside will be split or maybe burned to a darker color. Where is the relay located that controls the tail lights and interior lights on a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage?
The relay that controls the taillights and interior lights on a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage is in the driver's side fuse box. It is to the left of the steering wheel in the dash. One thing to note about this vehicle is if a brake light burns out, the car might also lose the dash lights or interior lights. Check the brake lights before replacing a fuse that might not need replacing.
Why would the dingers for lights left on and key still in ignition and little lite for very low on fuel not work in your 1997 ford explorer if all fuses and under hood fuses appear good?
I'm not a mechanic, but I believe the GEM (generic electronic module) controls the operation of the warning lights and chimes, among other things on your Explorer. It should be located in the centre stack area of your dash, either to the left or behind your radio, visible when the radio is removed. It has plug in wiring harnesses connected to it.
On a 1996 Ford Explorer tail lights, If you lower or lift the tailgate there should be some screws on the inside jam of where the tailgate closes you will need to remove the screws, the light fixture may fall so have some one hold it while you take out the screws. Also you may need a torx head screwdriver.
